
Dr. Buhler is a registered clinical psychologist who provides treatment, assessment, and consultation services to individuals across the lifespan (i.e., children – adults) in Manitoba. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba and a consulting clinical psychologist with Southern Health/Santé Sud.
Dr. Buhler is the Research Coordinator for the Military, Veteran, and Police Health Research Lab, where he oversees research projects aimed at understanding and improving the health and mental health of military, police and first responders.
Having worked in numerous clinical settings, including the Winnipeg Operational Stress Injury Clinic (OSIC), Dr. Buhler provides expertise in the assessment and treatment of trauma and stressor-related conditions, depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, emotion regulation, relationship and couples therapy, and adjustment difficulties. In his clinical work, Dr. Buhler primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is characterized by flexibility, collaboration, and goal setting.
