Dr. Pamela Holens, C.Psych.

Dr. Pamela Holens is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience who specializes in the areas of traumatic stress and chronic pain. She is an Associate Professor in Clinical Health Psychology and an Adjunct Professor in Psychology at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Holens has spent more than a decade working with military, RCMP, and Veterans at the Operational Stress Injury (OSI) Clinic at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg. 

In her private practice, Dr. Holens works with various first responder and public safety populations including firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and correctional officers. She frequently helps these individuals recover from psychological or physical injuries and successfully return to work. She has extensive training and expertise in providing evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and EMDR. Dr. Holens also provides treatments for chronic pain using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. In addition, she frequently works with individuals with depression and anxiety, and she is well versed in treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Dr. Holens also has significant experience in mental health team and program development and supervising junior clinicians.
