Dr. Andrew Lubusko, C.Psych.

Dr. Lubusko is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in crisis and counselling centres, hospitals, correctional and military settings, and private practice. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba and completed his internship at the Student Counselling and Career Centre. His expertise includes anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, self-control/emotional regulation (e.g., anger management, adult ADHD), return-to-work issues, and couples counselling.

Dr. Lubusko was one of the founding members of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Institute of Manitoba (CBTI) and served as clinic co-director in 2022, before leaving to start his current practice at ALPHA Consulting and Clinical Services Ltd. (ALPHA). During his tenure with the Department of National Defence at CFB Winnipeg – 17 Wing, Dr. Lubusko provided treatment, assessment, consultation, and staff training. His work at both CBTI and ALPHA has centred on employment-related and operational stress injuries, assisting individuals in regaining functional abilities and returning to meaningful employment. He has worked extensively with Canadian Armed Forces Veterans, firefighters, paramedics, police officers, RCMP, and correctional officers, managing trauma and occupational stress injuries.

He is fluent in Polish and primarily works with adults, adolescents, and post-secondary students.
